David William Thomas, born in 1949 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, is a distinguished actor and comedian whose career spans decades and is marked by notable achievements. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in music and philosophy, with his mother being a church organist and composer, and his father a respected medical ethicist and philosopher, Dave’s early years were shaped by a rich cultural and intellectual environment.
Dave’s journey in entertainment began with his involvement in the Toronto production of “Godspell,” which was the stepping stone for his career in comedy and improv. His pivotal role in the comedy troupe Second City paved the way for the creation of the legendary “SCTV,” an Emmy Award-winning TV show.
Beyond his acting and comedy career, Dave has also ventured into the animation industry. He serves as the President of Animax Entertainment, an esteemed animation company with offices in Van Nuys and Toronto.
