Andrew Miller: Colorblind Tulip Farmer

He is the colorblind tulip farmer behind Tulip Valley Farms, Andrew Miller.

Andrew Miller is the founder and CEO of Tulip Valley Farms.

Andrew fell in love with every aspect of tulip farming—from the growing to the business and the joy it brings to others.

His passion lies in creating a meaningful, shared experience rooted in beauty and community.

Planted in 2023, the farm has faced challenges but continues to grow as a destination for visitors from around the world.

Andrew shared about:
  • Andrew explains that while tulip farming in his area used to cover 4,000 acres, it’s now down to 175 — yet they host the largest tulip festival in North America.
  • His farm, now spanning about 12 acres and growing 140 tulip varieties (with 100 more planned), was voted the world’s most scenic U-pick tulip farm by the World Tulip Society.
  • Andrew shares that everyone has a unique journey, but for him, success came from spotting opportunities, building strong industry contacts, and being open to sharing resources like suppliers and equipment connections.
