Joey Starr is a 5th grade teacher by day and adventure photographer by the weekend.

Joey Starr, a Seattle native from a modest background, was raised by hardworking parents. Despite disliking school, he became a teacher, inspired by his family’s dedication.

He faced challenges after high school but was supported by a coach and a principal who helped him pursue college. Transitioning from a security guard to a teacher, his passion lies in mentoring children.

Joey discovered his love for outdoor activities like climbing and photography after his soccer days. His Instagram journey began in 2019, capturing outdoor adventures with no formal training.

Joey shared about:

• Being a bad student who disliked school, he eventually became a teacher, a decision he initially rejected because of his mom’s experience.
