Edgar Blazona is the founder of a rebellious luxury furniture brand for a growing generation of design junkies.

Edgar is a former graffiti artist turned furniture executive. He is a serial entrepreneur and 25-year furniture industry veteran. He traded in a job at a 600M luxury furniture company for a new kind of start-up that puts furniture design in the hands of the consumer. His entrepreneurial, hands-on, DIY spirit continues to push the envelope for modern-day furniture. Edgar founded BenchMade Modern in an effort to make the sofa-buying experience more user-friendly. The self-taught furniture designer also founded TrueModern, a national furniture wholesale company with its flagship showroom in San Francisco; and Modular Dwellings, the first modern prefab backyard structure company that made its building plans available through ReadyMade magazine.
